Death of Death of Discotheque

Comprising of a lass and three chaps, they combine the ferocious energy of punk with a post of post of post punk feel of an indie dance crossover. Conjuring an Electronica tinged mood of Leftfield, Stereolab, Devo and Sun o))) (aspirationally speaking).
Their living breathing mass of a set contains constant grooves with occasional pop hooks, reconciling “Up-Up” music that goes for the jugular, always energetic and never bashful, against a wash of pure noise cut with harshness and spikes of death. Achieving notoriety on their local live scene with reviews stating everything from wanting to “start a family with them” to not being sure “whether to dance or throw up”, bordering a fine line
between genius and perversity, they are the uninterrupted energy that permeates the live experience. Dancing on the inside, they are dancing with themselves. Enjoy.
Recently signed to NR1 records, debut album ‘Count My Face’
is due for release in June 2011.
